The 2016 Toyota Corolla is the latest iteration of one of America’s best-selling cars of all time, and it’s got a whole slew of new tricks up its proverbial sleeves. If you want to check out the new Corolla for yourself, come to Pat Lobb’s Toyota of Longview. Our friendly sales staff will be happy to show the Corolla and the rest of the Toyota lineup to shoppers from Kilgore, Marshall, Carthage, and Tyler, TX.

The Honda Civic is no match for the affordable reliability of the 2016 Toyota Corolla.

MSRP and Value

If an affordable sedan with slick style and superb features is what you want, then the 2016 Corolla is what you should get. With a starting MSRP of just $17,230, the Corolla makes getting into a brand new car easy on any budget. Meanwhile, the Civic has a starting MSRP of $18,640 and the higher you go in trim the more money you will spend. Toyota keeps its Corolla affordable all the way up to its highest trim, the top-of-the-line Corolla Special Edition starts at just $20,635. The basic Corolla L also earns 28 city MPG compared to the base Civic, which returns 27 mpg in the city. Most driving is done in the city, so expect to visit the gas station fewer times per month in the Corolla. For real value and affordability, it’s the Toyota Corolla by a nose!

Standard Features

The Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic are very similar cars, true. But Toyota will always have the upper hand with the 2016 Corolla, thanks to its excellent value in every trim. For example, the Toyota Corolla S Plus trim comes with many different advanced safety, comfort, and convenience features including a smart-key proximity entry system, GPS navigation, front knee-area airbags, and fog lamps. The 2016 Toyota Corolla S Plus also features sporty four-wheel disc brakes. The Honda Civic SE with CVT trim is a comparable option, but you will find it’s not as well equipped as the Toyota. You won’t find proximity entry, fog lights, GPS, or knee airbags in the Civic SE with CVT, and the rear wheels of the Civic feature drum-style brakes. The Corolla wins it with great features and more value for your hard-earned dollar!
